There's nothing like going over your old recipes and re-doing them, only to have them turn out better in taste and health too.
I'll be doing a lot of this over the coming weeks and months, in an effort to eliminate two ingredients that have seemed to dominate my kitchen: Braggs Liquid Aminos, and Agave Nectar.

Here's a recent re-dux, involving my favorite lunchtime (or anytime) snack: "No-Chickpea" Hummus - The redux? No Walnuts, no Agave, no Braggs Liquid Aminos, and additional spices...and the change, to me, is HUGE in a good way.

And Just because it's pretty:
A super simple plate: Tomatoes topped with Zucchini Monsterella Cheeze and sprinkled with Sunflower Parm

That you can eat...

And it's really simple - a re-run meal of sorts:

Oat Groats (soaked overnight)
Purple Cabbage, chopped
Purple Bell Pepper (or green) chopped
Tomato (seeded, and chopped)
White Onion, chopped
Left over shredded Carrot
Topped with the Avocado mixture from my Deviled Cucumber recipe
And don't forget the Zucchini Monsterella Cheeze

Yesterday C and I spent ALL day outside, in my backyard, in our bathing suits, in the sunshine, while our boys were out doing "boy things".
It was truly one of the best days I've had all summer. There's something to be said about doing absolutely nothing, and doing "nothing" with a good friend. It was perfect.

Here's what I enjoyed for dinner...

Top of photo: a Rainbow Chopped Salad - minus the Romaine lettuce and avocado, plus fresh peas
Top Right: Sliced tomatoes, drizzled with Sour Kream & Onion Dip, and Zucchini-Monsterella Cheeze
Bottom Left: Sunflower-Parm coated Avocado fries

Occasionally (or at least throughout the week) I'll have the same food(s), over and over again, for my breakfast and lunches. Saving the fun and exciting foods (also the food that takes more prep time) for evenings or the weekend.
Because of  this repeat meal situation I try to at least find new ways of plating the food - so it may look different from yesterdays salad - but in reality it's still just...yesterdays salad.
Why do I do this?
Well, I don't really know --- but it's kept me sustained, happy, and totally devoted to eating 100% raw thus far --- so I think it's working.
I dunno, I also think that the visual side of food really truly plays a part in the overall eating-enjoyment-process - and in my case it also helps fuel my commitment raw food.

So yes, while I reserve the fun, new, and exciting food for livejournal posts I also take pictures of all the mundane (to me) food that I eat very regulary. And if you don't mind, I'd like to share some of it with you guys. Let's just call them "Re-run meals"

Okay! One of my current favorite "Re-run meals" is this (shared with my sister last weekend):

Rainbow Chopped Salad, with hummus vinaigrette
