I won’t deny that a majority of my world revolves around two things:
The health of my marriage,
And the happiness of my cat Lola.

Now that we’re actually moving this week, the reality of change has me very worried about Lola and how she’ll handle it all. I know I’m stressing too much for my own good…but I can’t help feeling concern for her mental and physical health.
Whenever we’re gone overnight (or longer) upon our returning home she’ll cry, and more often then not throw up a little fluid.

Not only are we moving to a new house that still has the remnant smells of the previous animals (we’re working on getting rid of that), but there will be two new cats – older cats - wonderful female cats – that’s a bit of a double whammy don’t you think?

D and I have talked about how his cats (Flower and Silver) will be taking it hard too. Not only for the same reason, but because they’re both older (twelve years old to be exact). But they have each other, and Lola will be a bit of a minority in the situation. I’d be lying if I said that I’m not elated about expanding our kitty family though – D and I can’t stop talking about how wonderful it’s going to be to finally have them all under the same roof.

At any rate, I could use lots of encouragement on this matter. And if anyone out there has similar stories of introducing cats to each other I’d love to hear them.

Most Favorite:
Finding cool things I tucked away and forgot about - like two Japanese Tea sets, and a Fondue Pot! Fondue+Tea party anyone?
Thinking about how I'm going to decorate my new - much bigger home with all of our neat wedding presents
Saying goodbye to this tiny cramped place and hello to D and I actually living under the same roof together - with all of our stuff too!

Least Favorite:
Packing
Realizing that as clean as I though I was, I am still going to have to scrub certain areas of this annoying little place.
Getting grumpy while packing, and taking it out on the husband who just wants to watch the 9ers game and drink a beer - but when he offers to help you say "no" because you want things packed right. Hmm.
PACKING!! UGH!

Surprisingly I really like unpacking, so that's what I'm trying to keep my sights set on while I'm getting progressively grumpier.

I can't lie, life's been nothing short of stressful over the last few weeks - mainly due to the fact that finding a decent rental has been *very* hard and laced with enormous competition. Yuck.

D and I managed to relax a bit tonight. We went for a nice walk in which we: saw two skunks, dropped off a movie ("Dirty Pretty Things" - I loved it, D couldn't figure out why he was so compelled to keep watching it), swung into Starbucks where I discovered my new favorite hot drink when my tummy is upset: Spearmint tea misto with soy=yum, and also said 'Hi' to the lovely miss J.
Getting home just in time to check out "Hero's" which I'm way too embarrassed to admit that I like. It reminds me of Days of our Lives - lots of cheesy plot twists, new characters around every corner, and bouncing around every three minutes from character plot to character plot...never really getting very far. Yeah, it's a comic book soap opera for sure.

I'm gonna finish my wine and hopefully get sleepy sooner than later. Work has been busting my buns , and it's actually quite nice for a change.

Happenings I'm looking forward to in the next few weeks:

Settling into a place that D and I can formally call "home"
Getting back into a healthy way of life, i.e.; cooking every day and working out twice daily
Three kitties!
Unpacking all of our wedding gifts
A Halloween party with lots of lovelies
More breathing room!

Oh, and on a very random note, we've been doing a bit of couch vegetating lately - and in doing so I came upon this absolutely horrible television show called "Moonlight", focusing on the tales of a vampire private investigator...yeah.
The *only reason why I watched this show for more than five minutes was because the main character was pretty amazingly hot - maybe it's just because he's the son of the late Bon Scott...either way...grrr.
I love my hubby, but there's nothing wrong with a little TV crush, right?
