I can't lie, life's been nothing short of stressful over the last few weeks - mainly due to the fact that finding a decent rental has been *very* hard and laced with enormous competition. Yuck.
D and I managed to relax a bit tonight. We went for a nice walk in which we: saw two skunks, dropped off a movie ("Dirty Pretty Things" - I loved it, D couldn't figure out why he was so compelled to keep watching it), swung into Starbucks where I discovered my new favorite hot drink when my tummy is upset: Spearmint tea misto with soy=yum, and also said 'Hi' to the lovely miss J.
Getting home just in time to check out "Hero's" which I'm way too embarrassed to admit that I like. It reminds me of Days of our Lives - lots of cheesy plot twists, new characters around every corner, and bouncing around every three minutes from character plot to character plot...never really getting very far. Yeah, it's a comic book soap opera for sure.
I'm gonna finish my wine and hopefully get sleepy sooner than later. Work has been busting my buns , and it's actually quite nice for a change.
Happenings I'm looking forward to in the next few weeks:
Settling into a place that D and I can formally call "home"
Getting back into a healthy way of life, i.e.; cooking every day and working out twice daily
Three kitties!
Unpacking all of our wedding gifts
A Halloween party with lots of lovelies
More breathing room!
Oh, and on a very random note, we've been doing a bit of couch vegetating lately - and in doing so I came upon this absolutely horrible television show called "Moonlight", focusing on the tales of a vampire private investigator...yeah.
The *only reason why I watched this show for more than five minutes was because the main character was pretty amazingly hot - maybe it's just because he's the son of the late Bon Scott...either way...grrr.
I love my hubby, but there's nothing wrong with a little TV crush, right?
