I came home from San Francisco this Monday to a wonderful hubby, two overly excited pups, a pile of really beautiful and yummy veggies, and a mountain of multicolored bell peppers waiting for me on my kitchen counter - a gift from a friend of ours who has a lovely organic garden.
The word has apparently been getting out to our friends that I'm a weirdo who lives on raw plants.
I'm not complaining about this, it's a wonderful thing to get fresh produce for free, but due to my lack of energy this week, and slight lack of creativity, my brain is frantically searching for ways to preserve all of this lovely food.
At the moment I've got all of the bell peppers chopped up and in the dehydrator. Dehydrating bell peppers smells SO wonderful! If you haven't done this yet  I recommend it! You can easily rehydrate them by soaking in warm water, or grind them into a powder in a coffee grinder for a yummy spice to add to salads, dips and dressings. I think I'm going to use some of the dried bell pepper in a new recipe idea for flat bread.

Anwho - I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. I'm tired and boring at the moment, my apologies. I promise to fire back with something exciting very soon. For now...nighty night.

xo~

Mmm, I would totally make paprika soup. I'm sure you could do it raw, but I wouldn't have a clue where to begin.

'Dehydrating bell peppers smells SO wonderful!'

So so true! Dehydrating strawberries is amazing too. And mini-carrot cakes makes the whole house smell like carrots and nutmeg and cinnamon . . . drhydrators are so amazing. I think I'm in love with mine.

Looking forward to hearing about the flat bread -- I've a whole bunch of dehydrated bell peppers waiting for an excuse to be used.

I've been eating your Flax&Sunny Parm Coated Tomato with sprouts and avocado for lunch for the past couple of days. Easiest lunch ever -- and it's so yummy!

So flattered! :-D
Seriously, this blog has been such an important part in the change that I've been making to my life over the past couple of months. It's not complete (change never is!), but the combination of yoga and raw vegan foods has made me so much happier and SO much more 'whole' as a person. Yoga alone is great, but had I not started eating more raw vegan meals (and honestly, without your recipes I wouldn't have bothered), I know I wouldn't feel nearly as good as I do now. I'm just . . . amazed at how much better I feel! So thank you, a million plus one.
