So I've learned a few simple, yet very important things over the last couple of weeks:
1. Don't jump to conclusions without doing thourough detective work, and discussing it with your significant other (If you don't have one take a moment to have some one-on-one dialog with yourself - or your best most trusted friend).
2. If you need something from your partner, something that's not hard to give, something that is actually quite easy to give (i.e.: a hug, a kiss, a sweet word, or even help with the kitty litter boxes), then ASK for it. Most likely they'll be so happy that you asked - happy to know that they're "needed".
3. Alone time. You need it. You need it to center yourself, and to be an all around better wife, friend, daughter, sister, mama to your furry babies, and to be a strong complete individual.
4. Don't be so hard on yourself. Relax. Have a glass of champagne with some frozen watermelon in it...it's yummy, and a nice way to wind down from a sucky Monday.
5. If you're bored or depressed, you're stagnant. Change or add something into your daily routine - something substantial. It's a healthy move, and doesn't cost a lot of moolah. ---I've started making a list of new fun and/or adventurous things D and I can do to encourage dialog and stimulate our minds at the end of our busy work days.
6. You are a control freak, and a neat freak.
Stop it!
Surrender to your messy kitchen and dirty floor. Go outside and take a deep breath. There are more important (and positive) things to waste your energy on. Turn up your "Best of Aretha" CD and dance like a madwoman around your house, or start picking all of those overly ripened blackberries in your backyard. Do it! Pick them! And make something yummy!
Okay. Enough of that wisdom garble...How about some food teasers?

These buggers were probably the best cookies I've had in a loooong time - totally raw. They tasted a bit like a cross between the inside of a fig-newton, and a macaroon, with a hint of lime. The only downside to making raw cookies is the time they take to "cook" in the dehydtrator. Because of the thickness of these cookies it took about two days to make them. Totally worth it. In the end I wish I had made more "cookie dough", but because it was a total "off the cuff" recipe, and I had no idea how it would turn out I played it safe.

Raw mango tart with a coconut pecan crust. OMG. SOOOO friggin good. Recipe inspired [but tweaked] by "Raw Food Made Easy". This Tart was a huge success at a recent barbeque...I would reccomend it for any pot-luck.
Full recipe for these two deserts tomorrow ---- I promise.
Much more to come....mwahahahah....
