Fear is the bullet you shot that killed the bluebird
Fear is the inability to love yourself as well as others
Fear is what keeps you safe, and yet stuck on that deserted island
Fear is that second guess when there never should've been a first
Fear is the person I was, and the person I never want to see again...

If you don't fight fear you'll never live to regret it...
You'll never live at all.

Love yourself first...the rest will follow.

We met with the mortgage broker today, and much to my surprise it went very well. A very educational hour and a half was spent discussing the loan process - giving us a very clear perspective on which direction we should take.
D and I walked out of there, and without even swapping our opinions he said: "I know we should wait at least a year to buy a house, I think it would be the best thing for us."
I was speechless...because he said exactly what I was thinking. I couldn't be more elated that we're on the same page with everything.
It's not that we're not able to buy a house, because we are. It's that we shouldn't rush - and if we were to go through with it we'd be feeling very rushed.

And so, this weekend we will begin looking for a house to rent.
Already I feel a very large weight lifted, and am glad that we're giving ourselves time to settle into our lives as a married couple instead of jumping right into a very big financial commitment so soon after the wedding.

How about another picture?
I don't know exactly what I'm doing in this one, but I'm sure I was enjoying myself...

Oh yay!
I love this video - even if it's being overplayed on that ipod nano commercial...this had to be so much fun to shoot, and it only makes me want my own music videos.
