Weekend pics

Another weekend has come and gone.
We managed to enjoy ourselves quite a bit, and on Sunday the reward for lots of gardening and yardwork was a barbeque with a couple of good friends. After filling our tummys with really good food, we all Hula-Hooped and proceeded to laugh at ourselves until most of the calories were burnt off. Wonderful fun!
The weather has been so beautiful, and since this is our first "real" house, with a big (fully fenced in) back yard, I just can't seem to get enough of being outside --- and neither can Lucy.
I named her Maybelle. As soon as we stopped the car and I rolled down the window she looked over and siad "Mehhhhhh" - I wanted to jump the fence and lay a big smooch on her. This was taken out in Loleta, there were a LOT of cows enjoying the sun that day. I just love them all!
Naked Lucy (without her collar on)! She hunout in this corner of the yard for most of Sunday. The Coi pond is to her right (not in the picture).
My dinner plate --- lots of yummy stuff!! Clockwise from top left: Balsamic marinated (dehydrated, and rehydrated) crimini mushrooms topped with raw cheeze powder, spiral sliced zucchini topped with sundried tomato & (raw)kalamata olive tapenade, spiral sliced daikon radish topped with agave-mustard-avocado dip, green bell pepper, and a salad of romaine, pea sprouts, carrot, and cucumber.
Things I'm looking forward to this Summer:
- A fully landscaped backyard (it's in progress right now), complete with an outdoor dining area, gazebo, and *fingers crossed* hottub.
- Badmitten!!
- Sunbathing (with sunblock, of course)
- BBQ's galore - and entertaining friends and family
- Tons of music events
- Camping!!
Oh I could go on and on....
