Taste the rainbow

I've been thinking a lot about the recent overturn on the ban of Gay marriage in California...
While I'm elated and very much in support of gay rights I can't help but feel concerned that this small step forward will result in a large step backwards in this corrupt Country and the ignorance that permeates so many close-minded individuals.

We are all born with an attraction to a certain gender: male to female, female to female, male to male - it's not a mother-fucking choice. If you disagree with this then I'm gonna ask you to stop reading right now.

I look back to my own personal experiences - especially when I began to entertain the idea of being attracted to the same sex...
Of course I knew then just as I know now that my sexual attraction was strongly aimed towards men, but I fought those feelings for rebellious reasons [being raised in such a religious setting], and also as a means to hurt certain people that I felt had hurt me. Ahhh, youth...

However, I feel the same now as I did then about homosexuality: big deal. We're all people.

Now I find myself in my late twenties, surrounded by all types of wonderful people who lead their own crazy colorful lives. And I can't tell the difference between a straight couple, gay couple, trans-gender or herm couple - they all rate the same to me.
Then again I like a lot of color in my life - and I'm not afraid of differences.

Homosexuality is not a choice.
Ignorance is.
